Lewis Hamilton is settling into his new role as a Ferrari driver, but his move from Mercedes has been complicated by a ‘no-poaching’ clause that prevented him from bringing key staff with him. This clause surprised Toto Wolff, leaving him to fill the void alongside George Russell.
During his 12 years with Mercedes, Hamilton built strong relationships, particularly with race engineer Peter ‘Bono’ Bonnington and trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin. However, he will now work with new faces at Ferrari, including race engineer Riccardo Adami.
Despite the changes, Hamilton still has some familiar support, as physio Angela Cullen has returned after a brief hiatus from motorsport. Additionally, performance director Loic Serra and driver development director Jerome d’Ambrosio, both from Mercedes, have joined him at Ferrari.
